I’m grateful to my co-author Paul O’Donnell who had the courage to share his experience as an entrepreneur; from creating a premium retail pie business to finally deciding to close it down.
I supplement his narrative with observations from the additional lenses of my experiences as a leadership coach and equities analyst. The insights, lessons and guidance we provide are applicable to budding entrepreneurs working from their bedrooms to corporate executives making the transition to becoming an entrepreneur.
One of the key insights is the imperative to create and continuously develop self-awareness. This guards against being blindsided by habitual patterns, unconscious assumptions and the belief that others share the same view of opportunities and challenges.
