Following the recent workshop I facilitated for WIBF and Citi entitled “Are Leaders Born or Made? “several of the participants requested resources to sustain and further develop their learning.

Below I’ve provided a list of books, videos and audio to assist your explorations, practice and reflections. Whilst I’ve grouped them broadly into different categories the material covered overlaps the categories.

We focused on the importance of being self aware. As a guide we used the Observer-Action-Results (OAR) model developed by Julio Olalla at Newfield Network and further enhanced by Bob Dunham at The Institute of Generative Leadership.

Who we are as Observers is determined by what we have learned in our various social groups such as our families, schools, gender, workplace and ethnicity.

Who we are as Observers is influenced by the language we use and how we think, how we hold and move our bodies, our emotions and moods, what we practice and our historical stories.
